BALDWIN COUNTY, Alabama — For the town of Elberta, Arbor Day has been celebrated for a number of years thanks in large part to Alma Doege.
A former councilwoman, Doege can’t recall just how long she’s been the town’s chairman for the tree-based day’s events.
