The second LuLu’s restaurant now under construction in Destin, Fla. is expected to open as early as this summer. Situated in a spot overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay, the eatery will seat as many as 300 people. Similar to its premier location in south Baldwin County, LuLu’s at Homeport Marina, the Destin restaurant will engender the same feeling and atmosphere stretched out over 20,000 square feet of space.

MOBILE, Ala. —  The U.S. Coast Guard announced its search for a missing fisherman in the the Gulf of Mexico, the second search they have been involved in for a missing fisherman in the past two weeks, has been suspended. The Coast Guard reported Monday the search was for a missing fisherman 70 miles south of Dauphin Island, Alabama, Monday.

3 sentenced to prison in family-run scheme to steal more than $3 million from BP oil spill victims’ fund | AL.com

Three people were sentenced Monday for their roles in a family-run scheme to steal more than $3 million from a fund established to help victims of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. A couple, along with the wife’s brother, appeared for sentencing before U.S. District Judge Sharon Lovelace Blackburn.

Two Teenagers Die in Baldwin Car Crash

BAY MINETTE, Alabama - Alabama State Troopers are investigating a car crash that killed two teenagers. It happened around 10:00 Saturday night on U.S. 31 in Bay Minette. Troopers say four people were riding in the car, when it left the roadway and hit a utility sign and utility pole.

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — According to a report from the City of Robertsdale received Friday by the Baldwin County Health Department, the lift station located at 22891 College St.  overflowed because of heavy rainfall. The estimated volume of overflow is between 10,000 and 100,000 gallons of sewage being discharged into Rock Creek.
